Creating Your First Task

VisionAI Observ offers real-time monitoring analysis and event notification, combined with AI model training, to enhance work efficiency across various fields.

Quick Start

Set up your first task and explore the step-by-step process of creating your first detection task. Click on the video below for a quick overview:

Adding a New AI Detection Task

In the top right corner of the Task page, click '+ Task' and select 'Camera Task' for a single camera detection task. This takes you to the new task creation page.

Step One: Setting up Task Information

Once all the information on the page is filled in, click 'Next' to proceed.

  • Task Name: Define the name of the task in 'Task Name'.

  • Location: In 'Existing Location', select the organization and location where the current task camera is located, or choose 'New' to add a new location.

  • Camera: Select the streaming camera connected to this task in 'Existing Camera'. You can choose 'New' to add a new camera.

You can set specific schedules or schedule tasks in 'Advanced', defaulting to 24/7 detection.

To add a new location or camera, select 'New Location' or 'New Camera', fill in the corresponding information, and click 'Create'.

  • Define Location Name: Define the name of the location in 'Location name', to which the camera will be associated for management, such as 'Seattle Office'.

  • GPS: Set the GPS address (latitude, longitude) to help you quickly locate the position on the map. Correct format example: 41.40338, 2.17403.

  • Define Camera Name: Define the camera name in 'Camera name', and optionally fill in the 'Camera model name' for easy reference.

  • Connect the Camera: Fill in the RTSP address for the video stream connection.

  • Choose Camera Location: Select the location of the camera in 'Location'.

You can copy the latitude and longitude from Google Maps for GPS input.

Use the following format for decimal degrees:

  • Correct Format: 41.40338, 2.17403

  • Incorrect Format: 41,40338, 2,17403

Hints:

  • List the latitude first, then the longitude.

  • The integer part of the latitude coordinates must be between -90 and 90.

  • The integer part of the longitude coordinates must be between -180 and 180.

Step Two: Selecting the AI Model Detection Scenario

After selection, click 'Next' to proceed.

The platform currently offers over ten AI detection scenarios, including electronic fencing, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), construction operations, fire detection, stacking detection, people and traffic counting, etc.

Hint: Different versions offer various AI detection scenarios and distinct default parameter settings.

Step Three: Config Event and Notification

Once settings are completed, click 'Create' to add the task.

  • Select Event: Choose the event for AI detection 'Event'.

  • Notification: Decide whether to enable notifications 'Notification'.

  • Specify Notification Recipients: Set the users to be notified in the event of an occurrence. Once everything is set up, you can see the newly created tasks in the Task List.
