Analytics and Statistics
Use the Analytics tab to review event volumes, trends, distributions, and false-alarm status. These views help you identify activity that needs attention.
Opening the Analytics Tab

Select Analytics in the left navigation to open the event analysis dashboard.

1. Switching Between Task Type

On the upper right of the window, Camera Task and Event Records are selected by default. You can adjust the camera task into another tab, but this depends on whether you have created Video Tasks and Smart Traffic Tasks in the past.
You will also be able to switch from viewing the analytics based on the number of event records that were triggered, the counts of any target object, and the summary of VLM detections in a chosen timeframe.
For example, if you select Camera Task and VLM Detection, you will be able to access the view below. The graph is based on the selected Trespassing Event Analysis VLM, revealing the time trend of how many times this event was triggered in the past 24 hours.

2. Enabling and Disabling the Alias
Aliases are set when modifying the VLM templates. To toggle whether the statistics are under the aliased or unaliased name, click and adjust the toggle switch.
In the example below, toggling between aliased and unaliased names is used for translation purposes, where each key and option map to a specific translation.

3. Filtering Event Data
Select Filter in the upper-right corner to narrow the data shown. You can filter by organization, location, context, event, event status, task, and time range.
It's important to note that this filter utilizes an intersection logic (i.e., the filtered tasks must fulfill all criteria in order to appear). Hence, by default, all fields are set to "All" or the alternative, most exhaustive option.

4. Selecting and Reviewing Event Charts
The analytics window uses the most appropriate way of presenting data, mainly with bar charts, line graphs, and pie charts.
Event Bar Chart
The event bar chart shows the total number of events during the selected period. Group results by Task, Task Group, Location, Scenario, or Event Type.

Event Line Graph / Time Trend Chart
The event time trend chart shows how event volume changes over time. Group results by Task, Task Group, Location, Scenario, or Event Type.
Select Hour, Day, or Month as the time unit.

Event Proportion Pie Chart
The event proportion pie chart shows the event distribution during the selected period. Group results by Task, Task Group, Location, Scenario, or Event Type.

False-Alarm Status
The false-alarm status view compares false alarms with normal events during the selected period. Group results by Task, Task Group, Location, Scenario, or Event Type.
An additional pie chart on the right shows the overall ratio of false alarms to normal events during the selected period.
