Smoke and Fire Detection

VisionAI Observ offers fire and smoke detection, triggering an event when flames or smoke are detected within the monitored area.

Independent Event Description and Settings

When creating a task, select 'Fire Detection' or 'Smoke Detection' depending on your requirement.*

These scenarios have predefined events, allowing you to select one or more for your detection task. Below are the events included in these scenarios:

  1. Fire Detected: The system has identified a visible fire in the monitored area.

  2. Smoke Detected: The system has detected the presence of smoke in the monitored area.

After creating the task, the following settings need to be configured for the detection items mentioned above:

  • Set the event area: Creating any of the above events also creates a zone called 'Monitored Area' The boundaries of this area must be manually drawn out by the user in the camera view (Refer to section: Event zone).

  • Adjust parameters for each event: Customize event detection by adjusting the minimum detecting duration for a confirmed breach, the event monitoring interval, and the sensitivity of the detecting threshold (Refer to section: Event parameters).

After the event parameters are configured, the event detection will look like the image below, indicating that the system is now identifying events based on the defined criteria.

* Additional, more specific cases of fire and smoke detection are also available for selection. Outlined in the image are scenarios that allow the user to have more specific trigger alerts.
