Pedestrian and Vehicle Counting

VisionAI Observ provides automated pedestrian and vehicle counting with customizable threshold levels to help manage density and ensure safety.

Independent Event Description and Settings

When creating a task, select 'Pedestrian Counting' or 'Vehicle Counting' for either person or vehicle, and choose from the following predefined events:

  1. Pedestrian Accumulation Counting Exceeded: The cumulative count of pedestrians in the monitored area has exceeded the predetermined threshold.

  2. Pedestrian Real-Time Count Exceeded: The real-time count of pedestrians in the monitored area has exceeded the predetermined threshold.

  3. Accumulated Car Count Alert: The accumulated count of cars passing through a certain point exceeds a predefined threshold.

  4. Accumulated Truck Count Alert: The accumulated count of trucks passing through a certain point exceeds a predefined threshold.

  5. Accumulated Bus Count Alert: The accumulated count of buses passing through a certain point exceeds a predefined threshold.

  6. Accumulated Motorcycles Count Alert: The accumulated count of motorcycles passing through a certain point exceeds a predefined threshold.

  7. Accumulated Bicycles Count Alert: The accumulated count of bicycles passing through a certain point exceeds a predefined threshold.

  8. Real-time Car Count Alert: The real-time count of cars in the counting area exceeds a predefined threshold.

  9. Real-time Truck Count Alert: The real-time count of trucks in the counting area exceeds a predefined threshold.

  10. Real-time Bus Count Alert: The real-time count of buses in the counting area exceeds a predefined threshold.

  11. Real-time Motorcycles Count Alert: The real-time count of motorcycles in the counting area exceeds a predefined threshold.

  12. Real-time Bicycles Count Alert: The real-time count of bicycles in the counting area exceeds a predefined threshold.

After creating the task, the following settings need to be configured for the detection items mentioned above:

  • Set the event area: Creating any of the above events also creates a zone called 'Counting Area.' The boundaries of this area must be manually drawn out by the user in the camera view (Refer to section: Event zone).

  • Setting Event Threshold: Set the quantity after which an alert should be triggered.

  • Adjust parameters for each event: Customize event detection by adjusting the minimum detecting duration for a confirmed breach, the event monitoring interval, and the sensitivity of the detecting threshold (Refer to section: Event parameters).
