The Smart Traffic system is designed to provide real-time monitoring and management of urban traffic conditions using cameras, and data analysis.
This documentation outlines the step-by-step process for creating and managing tasks within the Smart Traffic system.
A location defines the geographical area where the smart traffic system will operate.
Navigate to the "Resources" tab and click on "Add Smart Traffic Asset - Location".
Input the following details:
Name: The name of the location (e.g., "Downtown Area").
Coordinates: The latitude and longitude of the area.
Map File: Upload the map file for your desired area. Currently, we support OpenStreetMap files. Ensure the file includes the essential geographic information.
Intersections are crucial points where traffic monitoring is concentrated.
Navigate to the "Resources" tab and click on "Add Smart Traffic Asset - Intersection".
Specify the following:
Intersection Name: Unique name for the intersection.
Coordinates: The latitude and longitude of the intersection.
Major / Minor Road Name: Primary / secondary road crossing the intersection.
Click Next for the Roadlink.
Cameras are essential for monitoring traffic conditions and collecting data.
Navigate to the "Cameras" tab and click on "Add Camera".
Provide the following information:
Camera Name: Unique identifier for the camera.
Stream Resource: Insert the rtsp or http streaming source address.
Location/Intersection: Select the location / intersections of this camera.
Coordinates: The latitude and longitude of the camera.
Major / Minor Road Name: Primary / secondary road crossing the intersection.
Cardinal Road Direction: Specify the road direction the camera is facing (e.g., "Northbound").
Camera Info: Configure camera settings such as FOV, Depth, Camera Direction.
Click Next for the Camera Calibration.
Tasks automate the monitoring and analysis of specific traffic parameters.
Navigate to the "Tasks" tab and click on "Create Smart Traffic Task".
Use the Smart Traffic Dashboard to view real-time and historical data.
Key features of the dashboard include:
Live Traffic Overview: Displays current traffic conditions using color-coded maps.
Task Status: Shows the progress and results of active tasks.
Alerts: Highlights any traffic incidents or threshold breaches.
Reports: Generate and export traffic analysis reports.
Ensure all cameras are properly calibrated and assigned to the correct intersections.
Regularly update intersection and location details as the road network evolves.
Monitor the dashboard frequently to identify and address traffic issues promptly.
Leverage reports to improve future traffic management strategies.
By following these steps, you can efficiently set up and manage Smart Traffic tasks, enabling better traffic flow and safer urban environments.
